Hangover yoga.

It’s officially wedding season, and for most people I know, it’s ridiculous this year (I admit, one of those weddings is my own though). With all the bachelor/bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, showers, and the wedding; it can add up to a lot of booze.

If anyone is like me, the next day is a disaster. Greasy food and sleeping all day is the norm. So I was thinking; what are some good poses to make the hangover a bit easier to handle.

Twisting poses can help ring out those toxins that are sitting in your body. Twisting poses can stimulate the liver and other organs, so it could help them speed up the breaking down of alcohol.

Hangovers wouldn’t be complete without the headache, of course. There are a couple moves that can help relieve tension. Here is a list of a few. Personally I do like legs up the wall (Viparita Karani) pose for relaxing. Also, its good to put something over your eyes while doing any of the lying down poses for headaches. It makes you more relaxed and the little pressure on your face might help as well.

Those are just a couple of ideas for relieving some of the stress from a hangover. I’m sure there are more options and everyone’s body might react differently to the poses. Just remember Hydrate, Rest, and vow (once again) to never drink that much.
